Palmetto Markers is developed and operated by Matrixeon Solutions, LLC. This policy explains the limited information used to provide the public historical-marker guide.

Location

The Near Me feature asks your browser for location only after you press its location button. The coordinates are used in your browser to calculate nearby markers. Palmetto Markers does not transmit precise location to Matrixeon or an analytics provider.

Storage on your device

Necessary local storage remembers markers you save or mark visited and your privacy choice. Session storage may hold an anonymous session identifier only after analytics consent. The service worker stores public application files and map tiles for offline use. You can remove these items through your browser settings.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity load only after you choose Accept analytics. They may receive aggregate device, page, interaction, and approximate network-location information under their own terms. Palmetto Markers does not send precise geolocation, saved or visited-marker lists, search text, or personal form data to those services. Analytics identifiers remain subject to provider retention settings and are removed locally when you switch to necessary-only use.

Advertising and sales

Advertising, Meta Pixel, and the optional Matrixeon self-hosted pixel are not enabled. Palmetto Markers does not sell personal information.

Logs, security, and retention

Hosting and security systems may temporarily process standard request information such as time, requested path, IP address, user agent, response status, and diagnostic identifiers to deliver and protect the site. Matrixeon limits access and retains operational evidence only as long as reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal, and recovery purposes.

Your choices and requests

Use Cookie settings in the site footer to accept, decline, or revoke optional analytics. You may ask about access, correction, deletion, or another applicable privacy right by emailing privacy@matrixeon.co. Security concerns may be sent to security@matrixeon.co.

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
